When Naming your Azteca, please take these rules into consideration:
    • No horse's name should be a duplicate.
    • All names will be limited to a maximum of 32 letters, including numerical prefixes, suffixes and spaces.
    • Right is reserved to reject a name for any reason if the name is deemed unsuitable.
    • The owner of the mare at time of foaling reserves the right to include their farm name or acceptable abbreviation as part of the registered name of that horse.
Some other things to Note::
The American Azteca can be a cross of Andy x QH OR Andy x PH.
The "true" Azteca can only be an Andy x QH cross.

A's crossed to A's in this way - should breed true, with one body type.

(Note: Other registries may allow crosses that we do not. They also seem to allow between 3 and 5 different body types at the A' level, what a shame. Those when crossed to each other, will never breed true. In our opinion, that just puts dollars into stallion owners pockets, but does not create a new breed, just more part-bred horses, which none will look alike. They can be called an American Azteca but will not look like one.)

Breeding Chart
The chart is to be used as a guideline for your breeding program. All foundation breeding stock must be registered with AQHA, APHA, IALHAor a recognized registry.
*Andalusian heritage can be Pure Spanish, Pure Lusitano, or Spanish/Portuguese blood lines.

The breeding goal is to not surpass 75% or 3/4 Andalusian or AQHA blood or go below 25% or 1/4 Andalusian or AQHA blood.
